I loved making this version because pregnant dead people just really get me going.

Download: Blahhhhh I don’t feel like spawning is well rounded enough yet. I’m very conscious about this game. It’s gotta be perfect before I let someone play it.

Not sure whether to be scared or weirdly impressed.

Have to admit, those are some pretty cool new zombies.

This is shaping up to be a pretty well polished minigame, keep at it.

Also, if zombies are the undead, what does it mean if a baby zombie is born?

I know now it only seems to look like a mini game. But please remember this is a gamemode within a giant game. Just the giant game hasn’t been made yet. Haha

Also, I am running out of zombie ideas! Does anyone got any? I was thinking a jumping zombie and a moonwalking zombie and then baby versions of those. But the more the merrier. Also I’m planning on swapping zombie spawning to a wave based system meaning that I could have boss fights! Does anyone got any boss ideas?

It would also be nice to have all the zombies lying around after death anyway, would reduce the “So I shot it - and now?” feeling :wink:

Ya dead bodies are planned. My artist is taking his time. Which is in turn, taking my time. :stuck_out_tongue:

Add some zombie animals in the later stages. There is a lot of ways to get inspiration… Check Plants vs. Zombies and Lollipop Chainsaw. Keep it up.

I figure I’ll add zombie animals when I create survival mode. (I’m starting work on that after arcade mode, the current mode I’m working on, is finished. Which will be in a week or two) Also, I’ll check those games out! Thanks for the suggestion!

Latest download? Also, how are you creating the ghost effect when entities move? Also the screen shake upon shooting…

Releasing one sometime this week.

I’m sure you know how to make entities. Well, basically those are just entities that have a time limit before they dissapear and they just have a decreasing alpha variable. It’s really easy. Now to use screenshake all you gotta do is translate the entire frame to random positions using java’s random class. Very simple stuff. Try google if you have anymore questions, for this is mostly basic stuff. If you can’t find it on google, then use JGO.

I have a good feeling you are going to like the zombie ideas for 0.5.0.

We are adding 11 new zombies, 2 new weapons, a new game mechanic, a new game spawning system, blood and gore (possibly), Explosions (possibly), and character accessories!

It’s not about the tool, Jake. I like to use pure MS Paint for pixel arts…
Btw. the zombie looks really good, would suggest you to at least consider going that way…
