lulz. This is like the olympics.

A new level is now available in the Challenge mode ! The Tower ! And you won’t make a time like 3.49 ;D (which is really impressive by the way!)
I fixed some minor bugs (not the lava weird thing :P).
Now, you can also retry automatically a Challenge level by pressing “R” key.
Have fun !

< 10 seconds should be very possible though

That would be really surprising… On my opinion, it’s not possible, but the 3.49 really impressed me, so who knows…

Well I did ~14 seconds quite easily

It’s all about never touching the floor and clicking the next squares while in the air

Mike

EDIT: With my current way I can make it under 20 seconds quite easily (19.4 as best), but for beating your time of 15.16 I need to find another way…

EDIT2: Found a better way, 14.18. I think it’s possible to get under 10 using my current way if I hit all clicks

8.06s! I think under 7.5s is possible but my fingers are getting tired :stuck_out_tongue:

Mike

yeah you just gotta find the perfect route and then execute it flawlessly

Oh my god…! :o
Well played.

6.91  I think 6.5 might be doable as well with my current path but I give up now until someone broke my time

Mike

Ahhh what happened… suddenly the game is gittery and randomly lagging for me

I personally don’t really find the tower challenge very much fun. I got to the top where I could see the door (not through the door!), but I can’t be bothered to try to figure out such a complicated path. There is no real feeling of progress or any reward system in this game mode. It feels like a frustrating grind. I did manage 3rd on the first challenge, which seemed a lot more accessible but still a grind. Maybe this game mode could be made more interesting somehow?

I’d like to see the game have more puzzle elements.

Is that where you try to check in some files but bork everything up and spend hours trying to fix it?

I’ve no idea what that means. Is the motion blur new?

edit: yeah it’s only lagging when I’m in a boost. Is there anyway I can turn the blur off when I’m boosting? It makes it really difficult to click the blocks, though maybe it’s just my PC

Not anymore!

Mike

oh you!

just working on tower, lot harder to get the perfect execution

LOL check out tower… 1ms

edit: double olympic gold!

Blur Motion was added a month ago. I reduced the effect. But it seems that nobody likes it, so I’m gonna remove it next time.
@Nate: Of course the game suffers from a lack of reward, progression and interactive objects. I have plenty of ideas to bring to this game. Yet, on my opinion, this game doesn’t have the potential to become a great game. So I’d rather spend my time on another project that seems more interesting to me with a lot more of potential. Despite of that, I take into account for the next Challenge levels the fact that you find this level less fun, because even though my consideration, I want it to be fun.

Interesting notion, given how much people here like it. And since Portal is so successful…

I agree, your game is fun. I’ve come back and played it many times, and that is very rare. My feedback was just that I prefer the regular game over the challenges and that I’d like to see more puzzle elements.

Indeed, I came back to play this game even more than I did portal
