Adding real levels.

Adding real levels.
So, jumping? Alright! But then should zombies have AI to turn around if you jump or should they just keep on walking giving birth to a strategy of basically jumping over a zombie and shooting them in the back of the head.
The 1D field is kinda the one special part of this game so it could possibly be a step in the wrong direction to move to normal game dimensions…
Maybe add some more x-axis, doors to outside were already an idea, weren’t they? An explorable world, maybe with some items would definitely be an improvement.
The art can either be seen as “ugly” or as “its own style” (fully ok) - but the ammo does not fit into that imo.
Yes, in survival mode you will be able to walk around a fully random world, loot houses, barricade doors, and shoot zombies in all directions (and by that I mean left and right )
Ya, I agree. This art was made by a friend of mine and I’m going to have to redo a little bit of it. The reason I let him make them is because it takes him 5 minutes to make a sprite. When it takes me 30-45 minutes to make a sprite and his is usually better anyways.
Tonight, I’m going to try to get basic gameplay made. If someone wants a download link just reply and say u want one and in the release post I will supply one.
Keep on coding guys!
I am making it so amazingly easy to create new weapons and zombies!
I do have a question though:
How would I make a nice blog for this game so I don’t blog up the forum?
Is there a nice free place to go? Or maybe something else? Maybe Github?
There’s also Github Pages.
I think thats what I might do!
Maybe have a daily post or something, but anyhow, thanks Burnt!
I highly doubt I’ll get basic gameplay done today. I was working and then I decided to work on the engine of the game.
I made it extremely easy to make new zombies, guns, and bullets!
Even modders could understand!
Expect a basic gameplay release tomorrow most likely. ;D
Zombie Nauts 0.0.9 Patch
Added:
Screenshots:
No the screensize is not this small.
About actual screensize.
Download: Ehh don’t feel like it’s worth the trouble. Tomorrow, however, when I get 0.1.0 out, I might just add one!
Keep coding guys!
For 0.1.0 are you going to have the zombies explode into gibs when shot?
I understand that’s a window in the background, but I always first see a purple top hat.
Looks good so far.
Thanks Burnt!
I do plan to have some nice zombie exploding gore, but I doubt it would get into 0.1.0!
Haha
I can’t wait to see what I can do. This is extremely exciting for me! ;D
I feel like I can get 1.0 out today and then a rough blog so I don’t have to annoy you guys on here.
0.1.0 Features:
Does anyone want a download? I don’t feel like this release would be a good one to download considering difficulty does not increase yet, there isn’t ammo, or any score. All that will be added in 2.0!
Keep coding guys!
Zombie Nauts 0.1.0
The great version has been released. It now shall reek havoc among the deepest darkest depths of the internet.
Features:
Screenshot:
To make these tiny images I have to let the zombies get really close to be able to show them on frame. Is there a better way to make an image around this size that doesn’t look stretched but still has a size of around 1280 x 640 pixels? Haha
Actual screensize:
Sexy varying zombie speed, huh? I thought of that all by myself! Just kidding, kpars is the man!
Download: Ehhhhhh, still too alpha for a download for my tastes.
Blog:
Should I really make one? It would take time out of Zombie Nauts development for a day or two, though would it be worth it? Am I getting annoying yet? Haha ;D
Please please PLEASE make a campaign mode. Or some kind of advancing level mode.
Calm down bro, I’m planning on campaign mode, arcade mode (what I’m making now), survival mode, sandbox mode, and multiplayer mode.
I will plan on getting 0.2.0 out today along with a simple blog. I need a blog for sure. So, I don’t have to keep posting these silly posts.
One of the Vlambeer guys once said that if you’re making a 2D shooter, you should make the bullets as big as your chest.
He said a a lot of good things about making action games.

Why do they need to be so big? I don’t understand that logic.
Because it gives the bullets more life, makes them look like they do more damage.
