Whays the story behind your name

I drink both too damn much! ;D

My nick is: initials (RA) + for (4) + king. My first name means ‘king’ in french so … me for king!

Because Grunn is the local name for the town I live in, and because of this:

cuHOzHHC7ms
:point: best unit sounds ever!

Getting off topic here…
But is it sad that I’m in high school and I don’t drink coke… ;D

[offtopic]

I don’t think so  I don’t like carbonation, so I don’t drink soda.

My name is via Microsoft’s name generation (I think).

PS: I changed the topic’s name to fix the error. It was bothering me. >:(

CopyableCougar4

I just thought I might fix it a tiny bit more…
Cause boredom is kind of getting to me…

Long long ago there was a time that I was the programmer of an unknown short lived Atari ST demo group called TPN. It was the time of the first US/German space mission called SkyLab. But since we targetted cyberspace instead of the sky, the name cylab was born.

Only 15 years later when I tried to register some domain names, I realized that there is a industrial band of the same name. I briefly thought about sueing them for prior art, but decided to not be mean

When I was like 11 years old, my brother wanted to give me a Minecraft Alpha account for my birthday. And because I was only playing games on a handheld at the time, I didn’t really have a game name. And at that time a was a real fan of the Ranger’s Apprentice series, so I was a bit inspired by that and thought of the main character as a kind of “lost warrior”, who hides in the shadows and creeps the shit out of people. So that’s how I came up with LostWarrior. Have been using it ever since, and I’m keeping it until I find another one, maybe.

When my brother and I where around 10 years old (in the 80s) we used to have a MSX computer and played all these konami games that where super cool for that time and way ahead of all the other game developers.
We fantasized about creating games ourselves and ofcourse we had to have a name for our company and we came up with Norakomi (which is almost ana angram of konami).
We dont have our own company just yet, but maybe well get there one day

“Oscuro” is spanish for “dark one”. It was what people called me to my back in college because I was… well, creepy.

When they eventually told me what the nickname was… I liked it and adopted it, and switched the “C” with a “K” because I thought it looked cool.

So yeah, I still get called by that name in real life.

No imagination here… I am a traveller with no fixed abode! I live in a converted 7.5t lorry, happily divorced, just me and my Macbook! ;D

when I used to play minecraft my nickname was Matthew590 (matteo is not my real name but mattia) and when I had to start thinking about a nickname I used Matth which was a fusion of matt and matthew. 59 is part of the number of my home phone(XD)

I never said how I got my own so, My Nick name is Jay I’m a… well young man, and Hall is my last name. My mom put this (along with some numbers) in my first email.

Guess how my nick came about.

Actually years ago I was known as “foo”, on CIX, after the proverbial function. Hence my Sourceforge user id “cix_foo”.

Cas

I chose the name Jeasonfire on this site because that’s what I’m called everywhere else on the internet too.

How I originally chose Jeasonfire, was when I needed a name for my youtube account, and the stupid 10 (or 11, can’t remember) year old me decided it’s a good idea to make a name based on a game you like. Back then, I had been playing a Guitar Hero ripoff for the PC, named “Keys on Fire” (I’m not sure about that name, but I think that’s right. I think it was shut down for some reason.) and Jeasonfire is just a combination of that, and my real world name, Jens.

I really should come up with something better.

My name is neither “King” nor “123” :stuck_out_tongue:

I read a comedy Science Fiction series by Robert Asprin. The first book is called ‘Phule’s Company’ and the main character is Willard M. Phule. He is in the space legion where most people go to disappear and choose an alias and no one asks questions about your past. He started with Lieutenant Scaramouche and then got promoted and had to change his name so he chose Captain Jester. I have been using CaptainJester ever since.
