I’ll definitely buy it in future, but right now, I’m not able to buy additional software. I have spent most of my savings to purchase my new PC (I spent $950 for it). So for now this is the only option for me.
Hello JGO! I’ve been around here since the very first JGO forums (the days of JeffK and ChrisM… I was quite a youngster back then ;))! But I like reading more than posting.
I didn’t quite do this today, but this is what I’m working on right now… it’s a mission-based (and tile-based) Ninja game. My goals are to attempt to make it somewhat tactical via sneak attacks (hiding in bushes, water and trees), showing footsteps of enemies, poisoning weapons, blinding and crippling enemies, having different ‘perks’, and a field-of-view system and so on. I’ve no idea what’ll come of it, it’s still just a prototype.
It is written in Kotlin and uses libGDX and Ashley (and my own little game library built on top of libGDX).
The image looks quite rough due to a grain postprocessing shader (which naturally looks much better in effect)… and there’s also a bloom and a (slight) blur shader.

Nice
But Imho - idea don’t works like this (for Ninja enemies)
Need or make FOV of Unit very low – to any effect of footsteps and fog.
Or push idea forward and make Turn base FPS with ninja tricks =)
Something Like “Superhot” game.
Or make good bloody like Hotline Miami game )
Booked moto-cross lessons for the 4th of July, can’t wait.
After a decade of mountain biking I am finally going to try it “with an engine” as all my non mountain biking friends claim it to be. Little concerned as I have only ridden a 125cc bike once, and this guy is confident that I will be fine on a 450cc bike right off the bat given my experience on a downhill mountain bike. One way to find out :p.
I’ll be taking my GoPro so will try and get a video, probably of me having a complete whip out.
I’ve started actively seeking out smart people to listen to, and I’ve found Rich Hickey, author of one of my new favorite programming languages, to be a great source of programming wisdom and can recommend watching/listening to pretty much anything he says: http://www.infoq.com/presentations/Simple-Made-Easy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f84n5oFoZBc
450cc’s are great; 500cc’s even better! Just stay in control and you will be fine. I personally prefer sand over dirt, although both are really fun!
Just implemented a basic path object into my entity class that can move the entity in a direction , this will be implemented into A*. Great functionality as it allows for smooth movement.
Here is an example , please ignore the horrendous lag of the GIF , it is really a lot smoother than shown here.
What I currently have is a field-of-view cone for the enemies, and once they have seen the player once, the cone disappears and the enemies have a full field-of-view… it seems to work a-ok… but then again, it’s not a game yet, more of a toy
I had more like chess in mind than Hotline Miami, but there will be blood! 8)
The Cosmic Menace crew was attacked by ruthless aliens, they were so terrified that they couldn’t even fight back. Turn the sound on for maximum punching sound effects.

REPLY 2000! You beat me by one reply damnit.
Got this idea today, just before 5 minutes, so I took this picture. Introducing the new Citizen YOGA!
I just did this for fun, how is this guys?
Bought my first car, a 1999 Plymouth Breeze with around 100k miles for the low price of $2,000! Now I just have to find insurance for it. Can’t wait to be raped financially by insurance companies. Being a teenage boy definitely has it’s drawbacks sometimes…

Congrats I should probably get off my butt and get my license as well. I’m fully qualified at this point, I just haven’t gone and done the tests… Not looking forward to paying for all that though.
Today I’ve been working on learning more about Box2D as i’m trying to force myself to learn new things and experiment so I can become a better coder. I created this Tiled map that allows me to generate Box2D bodies. Only works with rectangles at the moment though :point:
Trying to make a leopard sprite, and this is the result after one hour.
It’s still half done though, and have to complete it in another hour. I’m still thinking on how to do the head, as I never seen a leopard in a top-down view.
Edit: - after 70 more minutes. I have finally completed it.

Is it supposed to be standing/walking? In that case, i think that the legs are far too visible. No offense, but the way it is now, it looks like roadkill to me. Here’s a picture of a cat from above…there are no visible legs: https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5124/5259697217_41f439a112_b.jpg
The leopard should look like it is waiting to sprang on a deer. Thanks a lot, I think moving the legs to a new layer and move them under the body (not fully removing them) should make it look like it is waiting for it’s prey.
Can you say how is it now?
Sent my first DMCA violation report to Google. Titan Attacks has been out on Android in the Humble Bundle for just a few days and someone has already pirated it.
Cas
It took that long until someone pirated it? That’s surprising
