I had the same issue. I kept having a “1 new picture” but that picture was broke for me, making it difficult to vote on. :slight_smile:

It was a very nice idea though, if people just would have used it more, I already had three pictures voted through so didn’t want to spam it with a single game :stuck_out_tongue:

On average, there were 5 votes per picture. So while there may have been a problem with 1 of the pictures, that certainly didn’t cause the abysmal voting rate.

POTD has been removed. Barely anybody was adding pictures, barely anybody was voting. Even notifying people there where pictures they didn’t yet vote for, didn’t do the trick.

Who’d have thunk.

Yeah… seems like we’re not that kind of picture-productive Community.
I, myself found POTD an extremely cool Idea, but yes. The images were missing. Oh and sometimes Pictures didn’t show for me, so I couldn’t vote :confused:

I kept mistaking the picture of the day for a showcase, and I’d get excited when I saw an awesome screenshot…only to have my hopes and dreams shattered.

Well, I did like PoTD. However, I think it would have been a lot more interesting if it just popped in a different picture each day regardless of the votes, rather than having the pictures last for X number of days before they disappeared. It could have been a very good way for people to advertise their projects.

I don’t think the idea in itself was bad, I just think that if a pic just got a few votes that it should have its time in the sun so more people would feel the need to put the pictures up there. Also, if the pics changed every single day, it would be like a mini “featured project” tab.

Oh well, the idea had potential and I did try to vote on all the pictures even though I was getting errors. :stuck_out_tongue:
