Shouldn’t this forum migrate to a more modern forum ?
This one feels quite retro I might say.
Amen, feels like a standard SMF (Simple Machines Forum (FREE)) + JGO Logo / Sidebars 
As indie developers, can’t ever have anything against retro. I think it looks fine.

There are plenty of sites with MUCH worse aesthetics than JGO. JGO has a simple look that functions well. Besides, I’m sure Riven has put more than a few hours into rooting around in the belly of the beast that is SMF in order to bring us nice features. So there isn’t any point in throwing all that hard work (and frustration) away.
I love current one, bandwidth friendly. I even miss the old time where no image on sidebar.

Having been here over two years…SMF is now synonymous with JGO for me. This look and feel is JGO

If there is something to migrate, it’s maybe the skin … but the forum itself is working very well …
In my opinion it’s certainly a waste of time, it’s a developer forum here where people are more attached to the content than to the containers look The time to do this would be better spent making games 
Is there any practical reason for your suggestion, or are you just asking for the forum to be more “modern” for the sake of being “modern”?
If I may suggest an improvement, though, I think the forum could use a more compact mobile version (When I log in on my blackberry I get the standard forum, maybe it’s my BB not identifying correctly, though). Compare to the very simplified (not even having pictures) mobile version you get at TIGSource, which agrees more with my poor little blackberry.
Then again, I have no idea of the effort required for such an upgrade, so just taking the chance to make the comment.
Screw modern, that reminds me of those people in my school on facebook 24/7 with a 2.0 gpa.

I have the same problem with my phone. Is that a bug, or is there really no mobile version? Or did I miss something?
A more mobile-friendly version would be nice, as long as it isn’t some godawful crap like Tapatalk.

It works doesn’t it? Plus it seems to be quite flexible in creating context-specific extensions for it.
The only thing that makes me shake my head is that “page created in X milliseconds with X queries” thingie at the bottom which dates it to late 90’s/early 200x PHP way of thinking; WHO CARES!?
I even changed my theme on TIGSource so it resembled JGO. 
Modern is not always better.
