Solaris?? No, you just need a SunONE application server I think.
They tell you to use sunone, but i guess you might use any servlet server.
The app is distributed through a WAR file, so it should install on tomcat also.
this is a trick to make everyone install sunone server, and/or not bother about those that use something else, i guess. 
My bad. It says solaris right above requirements, not below it.
