When you fire up a multiplayer game, do you prefer a swing/awt type gui for character creation, login, connectivity then into fullscreen(or whatever) or prefer to do all of that from the final game interface?
Maybe this should be a poll since I guess its opinion based. For me an ingame (fullscreen mode) dialog for everything looks far better.

I’d have to agree, on the grounds that any way that you can make your game a more complete, uninterrupted-feeling game, the better in general.

I’m curious: why are you interested? Because the first thing I thought was “Hmm, this would be a good question for someone thinking of implementing a little game log-in library.”
