Flash is a plague

Norton hardly ever makes me reboot. When it does, it’s because it replaced one of the DLL’s that it goes to great lengths to lock into memory to prevent it from being unloadable.

(disclaimer, I work for Big Yellow)

Java suffers from this even more. A system tray icon is displayed every single time an applet is run! to make matters worse a new system tray icon is created for every applet that is run. Not forgetting the massive Java logo that appears by default on every applet making sure that the user knows that they are running a Java applet.

You even get a balloon bubble every time an applet is run after an update saying “hey look you are using java go to java.com”, really don’t get that, you already have it installed, there is hardly anything on that site other than instructions on how to install it again.

Click “quote” on his post, and copy/paste the link in his post. It seems SMF doesn’t like it for some reason :S

I’ve found youtube seems to work better for me without flash and just HTML5.

It’ll be a good day when the world finally, completely moves away from flash.

And I went through all of that to see a meme :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve found HTML 5 video on youtube to be very buggy. Reverted back to flash until they fix the problems.
