@Kefwar: thanks!! ;D
For the harpoon gun and the extractor, you can’t remove them yet but it’s on TODO list, should be for anytime soon
New update: FarSky Beta v3.2! ;D
It is mainly about the new level, the deep-sea one! I also added lamps that you can put anywhere outside (actually it was an idea posted on a Steam Greenlight discussion ). There are also many fixes and small updates that make the game easier to handle (so more fun to play).

Also the game is now #37 (just checked) on Steam Greenlight! So this is really a good news, don’t hesitate to vote if you did not already: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=226898710
Have fun!
Does it update the game automatic or do I have to download it and reinstall it?
You just need to re-download the game and the Installer will re-install it for you.
Just voted for steam green light On both my accounts, looking good so far!
Congrats on getting greenlit on steam, really nice to see this game finally make it up there.
Also moving this thread to the featured section.
FEATURED.
Congrats Tim, two games, two featured!
Yeeaaaah!! Great!! Featured again!! ;D
Thank you all for your amazing support. I’m really glad the game made it through Steam. The game got 11 500 yes votes in less than a month, bringing it to the #6 rank.
When I made my first 3d game Overbind, I never thought one day I would publish a game on Steam. But I wanted to make my first real big game.
I think what made the Greenlight campaign a success is that the game already had a community since the game is playable since September 2013. Plus I wanted to make the Alpha free so that anyone could give me feedbacks. And I totally recommand it to any developer to do so since it really helped in many decisions!
Official release date has been set for April 25.
I just released Beta v4.0 today, with abandoned bases, sandbox mode, whales, more farming… Enjoy
I’m so unbelievably impressed you improved this game this much and got finally greenlit on Steam! Congratulations Tim, and good luck with the release and beyond!
Congrats Tim! This game definitely deserves the greenlight. Good luck on further development!
The game looks even more awesome!
I would love to play it, but I don’t have the money right now.
Also, will you ever work on Overbind again?
Thank you!
I’m pretty sure I will never work on Overbind again. After FarSky, I already have a new idea to develop, which is completely original. Yet for the moment I’m still enjoying FarSky development and there is still more to do (plus support)
Just added caustics. It will be available within the final release, on April 25

Hey everyone!
As the game will be released on Steam in 3 weeks, I’m making a pre-release test group to find the last bugs and issues.
If you already bought the game and want to be part of the group, email me at play@farskygame.com. You’ll get a copy of the final release game before everyone, but with some bugs! haha!
Hope to hear from you! Cheers!
If you own the game, you still have 2 days to email me and become a pre-release tester for FarSky !

Hey!
So I officially confirm that the game will be released on Steam on Friday, April 25! ;D
The launch trailer is set and ready!
A lot has been added to the game for the final release. I listed all the defaults of the game and fixed them. I improved the building system to make it more intuitive, improved the global balance difficulty (mainly with the Kraken), added “steps” to cliffs so you don’t need anymore the underwater scooter to go exploring, more variety in the world, all the workshop tables have been redesigned, more sea life has been brought (now there are tunas, dolphins, the great hammerhead and the great white shark). Many new features including finding and fixing droids so they can help you out by carrying items and protecting you. Also there are now gold chests you can find in the world. They give you coins you can use in Sandbox mode to buy equipment before launching a new game. Graphics have been improved, including the caustics effect I talked about before.

I hope you’ll enjoy this trailer, and that it makes you want to know more about the game
The trailer is nice, but the music could use some more touch.
Try to play a bit with the echo/reverb , and maybe upregulate the lower frequency tones (bass)
to make it more film-score like. It also sounds a bit too loud (maybe check if the wave is in “overdrive”, eg maxing out the volume-space)
Finally, the full release is out! And available on STEAM!!
As I said previously, there are a lot of new features/updates/fixes.

I hope the game will have enough sales so I can continue game development.
I’ll keep you inform of course of the plan for FarSky. There may be some updates to come, can’t say much about it yet.
@Gjallar : thanks, indeed Steam releases get press attention. Glad to see FarSky in PCgamesN !
@Damocles: I did not handle the music, this is done by a musician. On my opinion, he really did a great job, I really enjoy its work. By the way, its high quality final tracks of FarSky are available on its bandcamp
Games are usually a number cheaper than their trailer makes them look.
Unfortunally, your trailer gives a pretty clear prospect on what the actual game looks like, although this is not bad at all.
Maybe you should not show such animations like the drilling or shooting or plantcutting animations and more like the base-building timelapse.
The rest is actually pretty good, just that as mentioned, you should connect audio and video a little bit more.
Would anybody disagree with anything of this? Open to be wrong.
However, you will definitely not completely fail with this for now. Good job, good luck!
