First of all… I’m not related in any way to that project.
There are more than 150k downloads… it can either be a good thing for the image of java or a bad thing. However, it helps to increase the number of installed JREs and that’s for sure a good thing for all of us
Right now it eats alot of CPU power (compared to clients written in C/C++) and I’m wondering wich options are there to enhance it’s performance. One thing wich instantly came up my mind was using the “-server” switch, because that makes perfecly sense since it’s a long time running programm… but there has to be more, right?
So… if you have some spare time to waste and like to do something more productive than crossword puzzles, you can give it a try
[Btw 2.0.1.0 seems to perform better than 2.0.3.2 - speed wise… cpu usage seems to be identical]
