Any standard/Model to measure effectiveness of game or visualization

I’ve developed a visualization for my physics students. Its basically simulation containing different
Scenarios. i.e. collision of objects, gravity, acceleration.
I want to know is there any standard for visualizations to measure :cranky:its effectiveness, or anything to know the quality of my visualization & its design?

Any suggestions??

Could you explain a little more? No offense, but that made little sense at all. Do you mean standards for your textures? Just use the same texture for every physics object (I.E. ball, car, etc…).

I don’t think there’s a standard? Sorry I don’t think I understand the question. You’re the teacher, create your own standards.

I think @Digital.Optplex means standards in terms of parameters to assess how effective the simulation is.

There are none that I know of but I think this is a situation where a quote from Moliere would be appropriate: “If you are making yourself understood then you are always speaking well.” I think we can extend that to “As long as your simulations make sense then they’re alright.” I’m no playwright but you get the idea. Do the simulations portray what you want to get across? If so then they’re good. Anything more and you risk detracting from the focus of the simulation.

Effectiveness at what?

To measure effectiveness you must have a clearly defined goal.

If for example the goal of your simulation was to accurately simulate the orbits of all planetary bodies for the next 100 years, this could be measured.

Equally, if the goal of a game is to entertain children, a focus group could be used to ascertain if this was achieved.
