Zombie Apocalypse Simulation

Welcome to Waterloo City!
You are in the aftermath of a highly contagious pandemic outbreak that kills the host and takes control of their brain.
If you make contact with the infected (red squares), your cells will be contaminated with the virus.

On the top-left corner is your score (which increases the longer you’re alive)
as well as the amount of food, water and sleep you have.
When either of those three essentials falls to 0%, you will die.
Therefore, it is recommended that you scavenge around the city for a bed (white rectangle) to sleep on, food (orange square) to eat and water (blue square) to quench your thirst.

Your Dollar Store flash-light doesn’t allow you to see far at night, so make use of the street lights around the city.

The zombies are hungry. Ready to run?

That screenshot is hella blurry…and it shouldn’t request security access; I was running your game while typing this and the popups popped up in this window (not supposed to happen, will annoy your players). Also it’s a bit annoying that I have to reload the page/applet just to restart the game.

Thank you for your feedback. I have changed the snapshot to only include the game itself. I hope that will address the clarity problem.
I agree with you that having to refresh the page to restart the game is not user-friendly so I will fix that today.
As for the security issue, if you could post a snapshot of the error message, I will try to resolve it immediately.

Simple, yet addictive survival game. Keep up the great work!
Oh yeah, try to beat my score 2176! I’m the best ;D

Hi Jimmt, I looked into your issue regarding the request for “security access”. 8)
What’s happening is: the applet is simply requesting access to resources (i.e. sound files) stored in the web server of Host-ed.
The resources accessed will only be used by the Java applet and will not affect your computer in any way. I hope this clears up any suspicions.

I know what it is, I’m a java developer
I’m just saying that it might cause some users to not play your game, an applet is supposed to run in the sandbox for maximized conveniency and security.

I see. There’s still much to learn. I’ll try to implement that in the next couple of days.
