Hi guys,
new to this forum, but cetainly not to Xith.
Basically, been using Xith (quality product by the way, nice one fellas) for 6 months or so now, and recently bought a laptop so as to do work on the move.
Thing is, Xith doesn’t want to work on the laptop (Not even the demos on the site using JWS), it seems to render a single frame, then just stop (i.e. no redraw). Whenever I try to compile and run any standard stuff (rotating cubes and the like) I get the following errors -
No Vertex Program support, skipping
No Fragment Program support, skipping
net.java.games.jogl.GLException: Error swapping buffers
I’ve searched through the forums (and the net in general), but to no avail.
I’m pretty sure it’s my graphics card (Or graphics chip as the case may be), namely the VIA/S3G Unichrome IGP (I’ve tried updating the drivers etc aswell), so I’m thinking I need to get a gfx card installed (GeForce Go or similar), but being an overworked and underpaid student, would prefer an alternative route ;D
If anyone else knows of any ‘quick fix’ to this problem, then please speak up, I’d be eternally grateful!
P.s. I’m running an AMD XP 2800 Laptop, 256mb Ram, 20gb HD, VIA/S3G Unichrome IGP (64mb) and Windows XP SP2
