XAP back from the dead!

Behold!

http://www.stud.tu-ilmenau.de/~paulgeis/xap.htm

Not a lot of people know this but this is basically Alien Flux, but with the name of the original game I wrote for the Amiga in 1993, XAP. It’s even got the same controls as the original! The only things missing are all the different whacky aliens and… well, all the other stuff that makes AF 10 megs and the reincarnated XAP applet 250Kb!

I feel quite smug that XAP has suddenly sprung back from the dead, even with its original name!

I’m not sure if technically it’s legal for him to copy the gameplay and the name but I don’t really care because it’s long distant history. So I’ll be sending him an email of thanks

Quite a neat bit of coding there though don’t you think? Still hopelessly outclassed by OpenGL though.

Great games
I stop playing after 235 kills… But AlienFlux is far more playable

Well, now death has me too, it transpires. Is the grammar your own as well?

It is also $20 more expensive!

But since AF is $23.59 more playable it’s actually a bargain!

Well, I have had ten years to get the gameplay right
(Doesn’t that VAT thing really piss you off? I’m not even VAT registered either so I don’t even get to offset the money against purchases. Arses)
