The standalone version uses JOGL. This uses Java for the server and Javascript+WebGL for the client.

Are you talking about JQuery? This is Java.

Akka’s actors are based on callbacks, while Quasar’s employ true lightweight threads. Quasar actors can therefore block and do proper selective receive - just like Erlang.
