I need everyone option on weither i should buy the above book or not. I want to write 3D games in java and in the market for a good book on that subject.
Can’t you order it from the library? (you can do this in the UK)
They don’t have it. :’(
I plan to buy it on Amazon.com when the price goes down a bit (I have some algorithms books to buy first anyways). Although I’ve read other java game programming books already, I like to stay relatively current.
I can’t really say I recommend it when I don’t have it yet, but I think it looks like a good book to buy. It’s the only book I know of that contains P5 data glove support. I doubt that very many have P5 data gloves, but it’s something that I would like to get for myself.
What do you mean by P5 Data Glove Support?
I really should have said that it explains how to include P5 data glove support in a game, not that it contains P5 data glove support. A P5 data glove is a glove that you wear and use to provide input to the computer based upon how you’re moving your hand. It’s something that will never really be mainstream enough to bother with, but I like it. Or, rather, I like the idea of it since I’ve never actually used it.
You should read the Amazon.com review if you want more information about the book.
