nah… the smoke just stresses my eyes way too much :]
[quote]How come I can’t make it to the next level?

You need 10 stars before going to the next level. In the next version that will be more clear :
Why can´t I start the game or visit the webpage. Web server down perhaps?
The game worked on my laptop (Fujitsu Siemens c1020) but didnt on my desktop pc. =/ it just switched the display to some strange resolution and then exited leaving my windows display screwed.
I am progging som lwjgl myself so I know it usually works
Btw nice game, really smooth coding since it runs so nicely on my laptop although at some time in the lvl the ship explodes with no reason… I think
When the ship explodes, it can have a few causes:
- You fly into something
- Time’s up
- You got to the end of the level without getting 10 stars
I must add something to the level interface that returns a text at the start of the level explaining what you must do, I guess.
I don’t know what goes wrong on your desktop PC. What kind video hw do you have? Did you get any errors, or VM dump or something?
The ‘strange resolution’ is actually 800x600 in 16 or 32 bit (16 default, 32 if available) @60 Hz if available (or any other refresh rate if 60 hz is not available).
I would think any video card should be able to display that, so it’s probably something else going wrong :-/
Thanks
Erik
Damn, you got the high score!!! >:(
;D ;D ;D
He he he yeah I thaught the game was pretty addictive until I got the highscore
erikd, that’s a pretty sweet game. sure, it blue-screened my p3 733 the first try (the wonders of webstart…), but worked great the second try.
not too sure about the music though. people walking by might think i was watching some cheap porno.
good stuff

;D ;D ;D
erikd, your resolution problems etc. are likely to be the same bunch of problems I’ve had with a.f. We’re working on a big revamp to the way the whole thing works so stay tuned for a fairly major API change.

Thanks for the update, Cas
