Windows 8 denying acess to my own Owner folder

I’ve had my windows 8 desktop for about a month now and made sure i learned a good amount about it before I got it. Despite the 2 major bugs I’ve found, I can’t click on the owner tab for some reason. The file manager icon that shows all of your docs/images/etc. opens and I can open any folder except for the one that says owner. I read that it has to be added to the home group, but when I open network and click the Owner/ my name PC it pulls up a sign in to it and I couldn’t figure out what the password would be. It’s shows 3 devices in the network, My computer name, my name, and my router ID name. All I could say that may have affected it was I got a new router yestarday.

Could you provide a screenshot or a better description? I don’t know what you mean by the Owner tab.

I’m not sure what happened, but it’s gone. :-\ I’m clueless as to what caused it to appear.

That’s what happens when you introduce a computer related problem to the JGO community; it magically disappears because we are just that awesome.
