It would be really cool to have this ability. I know it’s a goal that the JGT author(s) wanted to achieve long time ago. I’m just wondering if it’s coming any time soon?
Thanks

It depends what you mean by manage? I actually like the current system where newly submitted games as well as updated games are placed on top of the list. Although, I am not saying this is the best solution, it works pretty well. It delivers a constant managed stream of new and updated games to visitors.
Now, I still have other things on my list, that I’ll eventually like to implement. One is the option to “subscribe” to game comments for your games. You get notified about people posting game comments and game updates.
First, I’d like to thank you so much your this really useful and great site!
About managing content, I’d like to be able to login as the game author and only site admin and I would have rights to manage my game content. It’s true that the current game submission works well but I’d like to be able to update changes more quickly like in a couple of minutes. Currently it takes 1 day or more in average to have updates published. That’s fine but would it be possible to do better?
Thanks
EDIT: I think I’d like to better express my needs: actually it’s more about being able to submit minor changes like screenshots or any game attribute in a timely manner. Or when I submit a new game version and I forgot something important to me but oh!, I have to wait another day just for that quick change. That’s simple as that.
I mean, I’m just proposing an enhancement and don’t want to put pressure on you or anybody else.
How could you prove if a game is yours?
I guess you could add a small file to the base of your url which the system could check… but that has its own problems too.
I can’t see why somebody would upload a game written by someone else
@TheAnalogKid: sure! I’ll put it onto the to do list. I won’t get to it anytime soon, spending too much time working on my own games… ;D
For sure we need to find a way to identify the game author and identity otherwise anybody could post bad or offending news for any reason. Think about spammers or evil users. And there are so many malwares on the net.
This is a hard problem to solve I guess. I think the current process, which requires approval by site admin, is the most secured way to date.
Well someone had posted my game up there which I exactly didn’t want up at the time as the game was down and the info was incorrect but its fine now.
Wouldn’t mind to removing the stupid comments…
