Who appreciates me?

To the left of this post there is an ‘appreciation++’ link, and mine has been clicked 4 times. I’ve tried looking around my profile and I cannot find a list of who appreciated me. I’m really curious to know which posts people found useful. I’ve even tried googling for this info to no avail.

So am I just blind? Is this info available? and if so where is it shown?

I think maybe it’s nice that it’s anonymous

Cas

This is what happens in the database:

UPDATE members SET karma_good = karma_good + 1 WHERE ID_MEMBER = ?

How about a “appreciation–” button? I’d like to see my value go negative!

It’s already there, there is just no text between the and the

It’s not surprising that it does:

UPDATE members SET karma_bad = karma_bad + 1 WHERE ID_MEMBER = ?

Once people are going to down-vote others, I’ll simply ignore the karma_bad column.

It’s all about positive reinforcement. Flower powerrrr!

Cool. Now if I can figure out my uid, maybe I can “smite” myself!

SMF is not that stupid  (and figuring our you uid is trivial)

Ah! No fun at all.

I’m a little disappointed it’s just a counter. : (

I’ve smited you twice now ^^
Congrats on negative appreciation! ;D

pwn3d! Sweet!

This is why we can’t have nice things…

Yeah! ATM I’m -leet!

Glad to have made your day :-*

ehm wat? He asked for a negative app lol

To answer your question… surely I could log who is appreciating who.

You try to get peoples appreciation. Making it a mystery makes you try harder.

Besides that, I don’t want threads or posts like “I helped you there, and you didn’t appreciate me for it, appreciate me now or get lost!”

It makes me care less rather then more, especially as I can’t ask myself ‘why’ people found my post useful (since I have no idea which posts did so).

What if it was just logging which posts were appreciated as opposed to who appreciated them.

That’s actually what I’d be after. I don’t care so much about who, but what they appreciated.

Once we’re running on the other server, we can have custum (java) plugins, and you can code it yourself! (yay!)
