Today when I’ve logged into the forum, I’ve been shown several posts under ‘Show unread posts since epoch’. I went into one of the topics and again I clicked the same link but most of them are missing.

Then I’ve clicked on ‘Show new replies to your posts’. They are all present.

I’ve had quite a few posts dissapear on me, and I suspect this will dissapear in 5… 4… 3…
Huh I haven’t had that problem at all. That’s weird.
I’ve been having issues with the unread posts links (all three of them) recently. Sometimes one of the links would show no unread posts while the other would show a lot.
Maybe it has something to do with having a browser tab open to a specific post as new posts are coming in? (browser cache is a harsh mistress)
Last time I had that was about 5 or 6 years ago, when I wasn’t the admin. I have no idea where to even start solving this. The unread posts functionality of SMF is horribly designed and horribly coded.
It’s probably best to click [mark all messages as read], as that resets everything.
