The currently deployed version of JOGL for OSX that Xith3D uses is woefully out of date and I would rather it were working so Mac people can enjoy the goodness that is Xith3D. Where can I upload the OSX binaries (I’ve updated the ones on the site as well, but I want to make sure Xith is working properly).
The third-party library binaries are actually stored in CVS.
The Xith.org mirror is refreshed from that CVS, as all xith.org hosted JWS demo’s.
If https://jogl.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=271 is the most recent version which I assume it is since it was last modified two days ago - in a few hours time I can update the CVS and xith.org versions.
Thanks for prompting us - they really are out of date. Perhaps I’ll update the linux and windows ones while I am at it.

All done, for all jogl platforms. CVS, xith.org/download/third-party.tar.gz, xith.org/download/third-party/jogl/*, official xith.org JWS libraries.
Of course not all JWS repositories have been updated just those on xith.org (this includes http://users.xith.org/ demos which are not related to the official xith.org ones and thus were not updated).

I’ve never been able to run the Xith WebStart on MacOSX. I always get an error, “Cannot load image stone.jpg”
fhmiv, which web start demo are you referring to? If you are referring to the skybox/terrain demo, then that error is due to the image being located in a subdirectory of the jar file. If you were to download the jar and build it, it should work as expected. The problem with OSX’s jar texture loader is being looked into.
Have you tried the most recent (as of 5:48am thanks to Will) CVS of Xith3D and the third-party libraries? Some are claiming good results from that.

That information should be correct (if you take the 1.4.2 version I uploaded a couple days ago). I got tired of the neglect of that part of the site so I revamped it myself.

Working great now on my Mac. Thanks. Hopefully the MagiCosm guys can pick this up for their next beta.
I spoke to soon… Space works to change the background colour but Esc does not quit as the console message says.
Not sure why that’s happening.

Just ping me if you guys encounter problems with the OSX version of JOGL. My tools currently run on Xith3D (and that’s looking to be perhaps a perm. situation), so I’ll report in if I find something and a rebuild is necessary.
