As a previous thread I was reading about the age of our forum’s users I noticed that most of them does not fill in their location.
So my question is where are you from? Or where you are currently Living.
I’m from Brazil and still living here.

I’m from Brazil and still living here.
I live in Tallahassee, Florida USA. or uhmm wherever my profile says I live?
My roommate is Brazilian and just got his US citizenship a few months ago and is going back there in a few weeks to visit family.
I’m from the land of libGdx
Sweden, though I wish I wasn’t at the moment due to the half meter of snow that just fell in combination with the frequent power outages. For some weird reason people apparently use more electricity when it’s -11 degrees outside. My power supplier apparently had no idea about that. It’s the same for the trains, the subway and the buses. Everything is gonna collapse so spectacularly this year it’s not even funny.
EDIT:
[quote]3 second power outages don’t count.

My PC and my school report disagrees.
As long as we’re commenting on anonymous quotes…
[quote]The Dutch actually like power outages, as they invented them in 1832.

Not true. Who ever said this has no idea what she’s talking about.
I guess this would be the perfect time for me to introduce myself, something I’ve been wanting to do for months, just haven’t found the right moment.
Well I’m a 15 year old from New Zealand, and hopefully you will see me around the WIP section soon
considering how long I’ve been waiting for this, that was slightly anti-climatic
huh. are they using rolling blackouts or are they getting overloaded?

… It was a satirical version of what my power company said to the press…
It was unplanned. It seems like most of it has blown over now, but there are still short blackouts now and then. Been 4 of them in 3 days.
3 days ago the power was down for almost 5 hours for 17-22. Around 80 000 houses (including mine) had no power and the subway stood still in that area. During rush hour. The full 10 “replacement buses” for the subway (buses from other lines which obviously got canceled instead) they put in to get 100k people home from work did an outstanding job trying to make dent in the masses of people outside the subway stations despite the snow, but it 99% of the people waiting still had to just wait it out.
Yesterday we had almost half a meter of snow. I couldn’t open the door from the inside due to the snow outside. It’s just before my exams so there are no classes so I was at home. I then got a call from my sister saying that the buses and the subway can’t move AGAIN due to the now. The garage plus the whole parking lot connected to it was full of snow and they didn’t plow it until today. It took me almost 20 minutes just getting to the garage to see that there was nothing I could do at all.
Sometimes I miss Japan. They may have exploding nuclear power plants, typhoons and earthquakes, but at least the power works. Sweden has so many horrible natural disasters that you can’t possibly predict and prepare for like winter and snow. Did you know parts of Sweden lie on the same latitude as Sibiria?
… It was a shortened version of what my power company said to the press…
Yeah that was obvious. I was trying to make a joke, but according to your dotted reply, you thought I really didn’t get it. Next time I’m going to add ten smileys.
Please do so. =S
Sweden here too.
Snow is fun
Transportation is a bit bad when this happens though…
Southern New Mexico, USA here. It’s like Hawaii… minus the ocean… or the palm tress, or lush jungles… actually come to think of it…it’s not like Hawaii at all.

Sweden aswell.
Snow is both fun and beautiful
Poland here.

It’s the same here, but since you do know Japan, you know that it can absolutely be no problem if handled correctly.
In Japan you even get an excuse note for your employer if the train is late =D
Santa Catarina, Brazil

Wow I didn’t expect to see another New Zealander here! I live in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
Bet there’s nobody else from Somerset here.

I’m not too far away, I’m from Bristol.
Netherlands here, also in some snow. I used the skyline of the town I live in in my logo. Anyways, I kind of like the snow so far
