When will DevIL work for Mac OS X?

I am trying to run the NeHe tutorials but obviously can’t once it start trying to use DevIL because of this: lwjgl.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1153

I would really like the use of DevIL textures for my game… but I can’t because I am on Mac OS X.

Is there going to be a solution out soon or is there any way to manually make it work on my computer that someone knows about? Thanks.

it does already work, but you are required to have it pre installed - which is a bit annoying. We have been looking into a solution and specifically asking for people to help out with it - but no one has come forth to help.
We have not forgotten the issue - I just dont have the buildfile knowledge of fixing this. The issue is also valid for linux.

Okay, so then how do I preinstall it?

Take your time on fixing it – what you’ve done so far in LWJGL is pretty amazing.
