Well, after ripping the forums to shreds, backing up and reloading, reindexing, etc…turns out that we needed to do a bit of house cleaning. Seems that Apache does not like 9GB .log files…

Ha! I had the same problem over the weekend that took out the j3d.org, vlc.com.au and xj3d.org webservers. In my case it was 20GB of logs filling up the entire partition, that I’d miss configured logrotate so that they didn’t get rotated 
Ah, that was the reason. And i thought i had some network issues on my side. Hope that all is fixed now
ouch - yeah, logrotate is pretty important
