Well, there is a reason that MTBF numbers are important. It would seem that the server that JGO sits on died because the $5 cooling fan that sits on the CPU heatsink died…in the middle of a table write.
Special thanks to the guy who helped repair this and rebuild the tables (you know who you are)

I thought that DB write access was journaled, apparently not.
