What now?

I’ve finished all my programming for today and don’t want to start a new release just yet.

I’M TERRIBLY BORED NOW!!!

Do you guys have any indie game seminars or something like that Juice it video I see all over the place. I just would like some recommendations on something to watch that will help my game programming and design.

Your welcome…

Whoa thank you!

Grab a spade and start preparing a vegetable garden.

Just do what I do. Finish programming for the day, then an hour later come back and do some programming.

@Ray idk gardening sounds pretty fun

But usually that involves going outside. :frowning:

I don’t know about you guys, but thats one step closer to “social contact”.

Social contact… outside?? I don’t get it.

e.g. that person in the center…

You could always play FarmVille and get that gardening experience whilst avoiding pesky humans!

all of you, so antisocial

This thread is starting to sound like /r/intj

“What?! But there’s people out there!

Meditate, Brew a drink, Work on design documents, Have a smoke, Nap, Listen to music, Garden, Let your creative influences flow in, gain energy, Happy, play other games, mod other games, you can do anything.

Think of many more ideas of what would be cool programs to make, them put them all in a nice big file (I use Org Mode for this). Sort them by priority, and then you will always have something to do (for example, my list currently has 16 items).

Maybe i’ll write a program to help me elaborate on making ideas

I’m pretty sure most of us here aren’t as anti social as we make ourselves out to be. I hang out with other people all the time, I just like my coding time at night before I go to bed! Which is generally ~4 hours. I seriously doubt all of us hate human interaction as much as we say we do :stuck_out_tongue:

Or am I wrong :point:

Im actually really social. I hate it. I’d rather be more anti-social, you get in less trouble that way.

Depends on who you hang with and what you do. I don’t go near drugs or drinking because that’s just stupid. I played a gig tonight at someone’s house (I’m the drummer), and afterwards a lot of us hung out with the people who came to see us, but I refused to go out with my friends after because they were going to get high. Its just moderation and making sure you don’t do something stupid, you have to have the will to make your own smart decisions and you won’t get caught doing anything bad!

yeah, I kid about it. But I am actually a full time college student who socializes at school a ton, I’m in a few honors group and I’m a Psych major. Both involve lots of interaction.

At heart though, nothing beats being at home though, I’m still an introvert by nature.

Oh well yes, I love my peace and quiet! Every morning I get up early so I don’t have to deal with anyone else for a few hours  Its really peaceful getting up and knowing you have a few hours to do what you like to do and not get criticised for it!
