what is this sorcery. I am using an older version of Eclipse :persecutioncomplex:
I like a light grey.
Dark themes bug me. And bright themes kill my eyes.
In Eclipse I’ve always used it’s default light theme. I’m really a fan. Eclipse just seems so industrial and not suited well for a dark theme. In Sublime (web related stuff, node, javascript, Jade, SASS, etc) I usually switch between dark themes.
Right now I’m using the Freesia theme for Sublime.
…a customised variant of “Darcula”.
Most of you will know the IDE of which I speak.
@SauronWatchesYou What version of eclipse are you running? When I installed moonrise all the buttons were bloated and parts of the interface didn’t show up as expected. ???
I’ve actually upgraded to Juno I didn’t realise. Most of the interface is okay but i’m noticing a few annoying things. The highlighting is in a dark purple which I don’t like so hopefully I can change it. Also, the auto complete is sometimes impossible to see unless I hover over it, not a big deal though.
All in all, it’s pretty nice and easy on the eyes :point:
Edit: Did you used Moonrise or Moonrise standalone? I’m using the standalone
I tried both (standalone was slower to load), but I don’t use Juno anymore (using Kepler), which is probably the reason it looks bad. I miss Juno I might go back.
FYI it should be pretty easy to adjust the highlighting, basically anything in the text editing portion should still be pretty customizable.
Thanks!
Have you tried it with Luna?
Nope, I might try again. IDK, like I said I just use flux and let the bright white incinerate my eyes.
Darcula!
I didn’t want to use dark color themes for a long time though. I always had the feeling that I’m missing an overview somehow. But then I tried it for a few days and grew accustomed to it. Now I never want to use a light theme ever again
