You’ve made a really nice forest environment, beautiful trees, grass and path.
Will be interesting to see whether you allow one player to control a party or a single character among a multiplayer group. Looks very promising!

So implemented vector field based path finding. Happy with the results, fairly fast for the size of room i have and has low per unit overhead.

Now units run around! And not like they are blind!

I feel like all I’ve been doing lately is asking for gifs but…

Was playing the new cod4 Modern Warfare remaster and noticed that the shadowmapping filtering seems to use a noise texture.

I tried implementing it in my engine. Looks kinda cool:

Are you sure that it isn’t just dithered?

Yes

I love the effect it has on the curtains, really improves the fabric feeling. Can you implement it so only some objects receive the noise texture?

That’d require another texture to be passed in when calculating the shadows. Which would be fine, but I am not sure about the bandwidth usage.

Decided I didn’t like my vehicles, re-drew them with help from my wife and @pixelartm (streets of fire pixels).
