Sorry for the silly title, but I was reminded of something by my fiance last weekend in regards to my project. Whenever I pick up on a new idea, or hit one of my strides in development, I seem to forget the outside world (minus her because… how could I forget her right? 
)
Is this just me? or does this happen to you folks when you’re really into a project you’re developing for.

Nope, coding isn’t the only thing I do and getting sucked into something so much that you forget what day it is isn’t really healthy for you or your relationship with your fiance.
I rarely have any idea what day it is under any circumstances.
I haven’t forgotten about her, trust me She just mentioned that I don’t play games as much (now gaming always made her upset ;D ) or go hang out with the guys as often. Which isn’t so bad, more time with her and around the house, less time doing things that would waste money or be potentially unproductive. I seem to be living on a assignment/appointment basis, which usually ends up with me being surprised that so much time has passed while I was working.
You have a point though, I gotta be careful I don’t burn myself out or let my old chums think I’m writing them off. :o.
If I figure out what day it is, I know I’m not coding enough!
When ever I do programming in the morning before school:
Middle of first class ask a friend “What day is it”.
Happens at least once a week
Lucky you 
Its a great thing to really immerse in something like that.
