will be back in five monthes…

EDIT: I dont really know where I should post this thread… so sorry if it is the wrong place

Update 2 :

major bug fix for this version is the FOV culling, now you can zoom out without any artefacts.

http://demo.dzzd.net/Panorama3DV2/

Works good.
If you look close, you can see the reflection of the tv on the window shows the wrong image :stuck_out_tongue: But yea thats the cameras fault.

that’s true! I never notice that. funnny

Works really well! Me like.
I’d ditch the Z rotation though - pitch & pan are enough, gets a bit horror film with the roll…

Wow, that’s really impressive ;D

I like it! Well done.

Updated V3:

probably the last release

camera roll locked

Heh, my company works with views like that, but ours let you walk through them

sounds interresting , can I see one of those demo  ?

EDIT: I have hiried web 3d technologie for a while now and that willl be strange if I dont know this one and they maybe know me too ;), there are severals plugin technologies that allow such things but in case of let me know where it is viewable there are always new one that popup here and here and all are interresting for me. hope you dont talk about wirefusion ??

This is a new technology that the company I work for has developed. You can check out the trailer at http://www.casebookthegame.com/

It doesn’t spend all that much time looking at the Aerograph technology, but there’s a few shots of it in action.

ha ok, damn the trailer looks great! , I was thinking it was a web 3d technologie intended to be used by customer, but basically this is only panorama3D with video texture, no ? (so you can move in a predefined way) using video textures rather than statics one or I missed something ? so using dynamic texture It should be possible with Panorama3D to done that in Java 1.1 ;), but the first goal of this applet is rather to be used by anyone even not programmers, just by using the cube model and 6 rendered map or photo or the sphere model and a spherical map or the cylender model and a standard panoramic photo.

No, it’s not a panorama with a video texture. The user can move where he wants within the scene, as well as look around a 360 degree point of view at any location. In other words, how you move in the room is not predetermined, but up to the user.

The only limitation is that the Areograph environment has a grid of discrete points that you can stop on (we typically put these 20-30mm apart in real world terms). The size and density of this grid effects the size of the data file for the room. For example, the bedroom scene in the demo is 99mb. Although the room is divided into discrete points, the visual transition between one point and the next is continuous - the Casebook games play I think 20 frames transitioning smoothly from one point to the next, for a single step.
