Vote now in the official JGO logo contest thread with this topic

History

Since the JGO migration, the JGO header seemed a bit awry. According to the loud minority the later added placeholder was generally agreed upon to be a major improvement over the text-only one. The initiative for a logo contest soon sparked a few of our most creative minds. With the unlikely joint venture of our beloved members appel and pjt33, we can now finally vote on the new JGO logo. As we each have our own taste and preferences, please keep the ‘maybe you could add … to make it exactly as I envisioned it since your first attempt’ constructive criticism to yourself. Once we have decided which of these delightful logos will make it to the forum header and beyond, appel will undoubtedly be open minded and willing to work out the permutations of your suggestions.

Early termination

The JGO logo contest will be over once either of the following conditions are met:

[]There is an obvious winner.
[
]The vast majority voted for either ‘a’, ‘b’ or ‘c’.
[*]Two of the options receive considerably less votes than the other one.

For the sake of completeness and a bright background:

a++

b++

b++ because the blue fits better with the current theme of the forum

b++

a++

c++

b++

a++ / c++. if b seriously wins, please at least keep the duke colors canonical. This forum already feels too monochrome with all this excessive blue.

multicolor dukes/ghosts would be nice, just needs a green and yellow to complete the collection (pacman style). That way we can just use the logo/color that matches whatever theme is in use (more future proof). Right now its essential the same logo and just a matter about color palette. b matches the theme best so the most logical for now.

b+ c+

(can I do that? :persecutioncomplex: )

Yes.

c++ (not the language)

b+ c+

A++

jgo.b++;
ghost.c++; //TODO use getter/setter

c++

b++
Red is such an angry colour…

c += 10;

I think using a blue logo looks like crap in an all blue forum. It’s like dropping lakewater into the ocean and expecting to tell the difference. Maybe? Or that’s just a crappy analogy.

[EDIT]Remove my vote for A. I decided it looks like crap when actually in the forum.[/EDIT]
