That sounds like it might be a worth a try if it’s actually easier. Maybe I’ll get a book about Blender just to investigate this. It’s easy to find books about 3d artwork, while no one seems to write books about 2d artwork any more.
Somehow, it sounds like it would just be harder that way, though it might be easier to make a wide range of animations and poses.
I think I have to get coding though. In the past week or so, I should have had plenty of time to write code, and I’ve actually written very little. 
I am glad that I got some ideas about what to do for crappy programmer art though.
