A new build is ready, give it a try:

Now, a dummy algorithm shows all visible cells, a better one will be implemented later.
I experienced the super speed glitch.
I cant try the turnin right now.
The turning is utterly bugged.
If I press LEFT_ARROW, I start turning to the left
If I release LEFT_ARROW, I continue turning to the left
If I keep LEFT_ARROW down, I keep turning faster and faster
Turning is definitely cumulative, totally unplayable.
Vista x64.
Ok but do you succeed in going forward? I think it is the same problem under Windows XP. Is there a major difference between Windows and Linux in the way AWT generates events (especially key and mouse events)? Did someone try under Linux (except myself)?
Walking [WASD] doesnāt suffer from the mentioned problem.
I would, but your game is Java6 onlyā¦iām using Java5 on the Linux machine.
Sorry. Iām going to try on a EEE PC but it is a bit painful to install Java 1.6.
Hi
The flickering in the middle of the screen might be the result of āscreen tearingā. Using V-sync might solve this problem. Can someone confirm that this symptom in my game is really some screen tearing?
Hi!
My

is still under development.
I tested my game on a PC with a VIA chip sold in 2003 and there are still some problems with the alpha blending even though the frame rate is fine (about 37 FPS).
The portal culling is almost ready. I have to multiply the coordinates of each portal by the projection matrix and the model-view matrix in order to compute the frustums used to eliminate hidden cells from the rendering step.
I love your sense of humour gouessej, and I admire your dogged persistence
Thanks ;D. My girlfriend should stop monopolizing my computer, she dislikes my game and my sense of humor
have you been busy lately or wat?
you are producing a lot slower now.
last release was like 2 months ago
I was looking for a job until last week and I am still looking for a new house. As I said, my girlfriend uses our unique computer very often, it is difficult to tell her āhey! stop watching stupid things! I want to work on my game!ā.
Yes but the SVN repository is quite active Would you like me to release a latest build?
yeah!
bring it on.
Ok ;D the new build is available. The main changes concern the artificial intelligence (or artificial stupidity if you prefer) and the way of drawing the weapon. It is a bit buggy, the weapon sometimes goes through the wall :s The frame rate is quite impressive here, between 33 and 75 FPS The bots should try to follow you further than before but they sometimes stay stuck at the same place. However, they are able to shoot you from a bigger distance than before.
Hi!
I have found why my source code was not working. It was not because of me. JMonkeyEngine 2.0 has another bug. When you use its view frustum culling, the culled test always says that the tested object is inside the frustum. I have wasted some weeks because of this bug, I have no idea about the way of fixing it
Okay, the end user experience is awful. Iām not going to try anything, and Iām sure many others feel this way too, unless it only involves double clicking something. I canāt even find what I would need to double click in all these files and folders. You need to make a new version with your zip like this at least:
runme.jar
/data/
...
/data/all your other shit
Also the game will be to big for webstart. No one wants to wait 10 minuets for a game to load.
Anyway I think thatās whats turning everyone off from trying your game.
It works fine with me I guess
AMD Athlon XP 3000+ (2118 MHz )
1024 MB RAM
Radeon X1650
Windows XP Pro
Althoughā¦ I cannot play much further, because its too hardā¦ they shoot meā¦ =P
taht was just the first post, if you look he has a webstart version.
also, do you use dial-up, I have used his webstart, and it is fine.
He needs to update his first post than.
