Trouble with forum's E-Mail notification

Hello,

during the last weeks I only obtained a subset of e-mail notifactions on my subscribed topics. Many times no notifcation is being sent (although new articles to subscribed topics did appear).

What could I do?

Anybody else? (Probably some don’t notice that they don’t obtain a notice, because it’s tricky to say you don’t obtain something you don’t know about.

Hi
I’ve been having the problem for a few months now, the topic comes up every now and then, but nothing ever seems to happen about it. Just check the forums regularly, if gives you something to do when you should be working

Endolf

Edit: typo, just for a change

Oh well. So I’ve got a “me too” experience now. Thanks for the answer.

A pity the problem exists… So we easily miss answers and discussions…

Has it been possible to find out if there’s any “pattern” in this problem? For example, do certains (e-mail account) domains tend to miss the notifications?
You’re living in Europe, like I do: do European users of the forum have this “missing notification problem” more oftenly than USA ones, where this forum’s server is located? A kind of routing problem maybe? (Don’t know because no knowledge of Internet

During the last days I received about 5 or so notifications, where it should have been 5 times as many.

Anybody else with notification problems?

yeah they don’t work very well for me either.

Will.

So actually it’s several people who have problems with the e-mail notification. It’s Endolf, William, Onyx, and a few more (I think Blabla once mentioned it, too).

Since we all use totally different mail gateways and internet providers (in different countries) the problem must be on the server hosting this forum.

We need to do something about it - I lose 3/4 of my subscribed topics and this is bad.

Could the moderator of this forum do anything, please? Or do we have to ask the site’s administrator?

What to do next?

I am both and I am at a loss as to what is happening. I will submit a ticket to our ISP and see what’s up. Sorry, bu tI have no real answer for you yet.

Hi Chris. Thanks for your article and the submit to tour ISP.

Maybe we could post a new poll (now that we have this feature) to ask how many people think they don’t obtain e-mail notifications.

Would it be possible on the forum’s start page to have a second link line like the one named “view 10 most recent posts of this forum”, but then with a higher number instead of 10? Until the ISP problem has been solved?

Because, as said, most of the notifications don’t reach me - and several other people, too. Whenever you visit the forum and more than 10 posts have been placed, you’ve got no chance to see them anymore… :frowning:

Would be great. Thanks.

Chris, are there any news from your ISP concerning the e-mail notification losses?

Still most of the notifications never reach me and due to the “show 10 last posts” limit I miss too many postings. :frowning:
