I figured since Markus and OrangyTang are both posting theirs, I might post my entry for the LD12 Ludumdare 48h competition as well:
Towerball webstart
Towerball zip (including level editor, exe wrappers and shell scripts)

Totally awesome. Very good game. Like it a lot!
I already played that one! This is AWESOME!
great work!
Well done, I like it a lot.
Dampening can potentially be too good, though.
Thanks! And, yes, I suppose dampnening might be too good. Still, plenty of people say that the game is far too hard, and I didn’t know what to do without the dampening. I suppose some form of friction…
Yeah, it certainly would be way way too hard without it. I didn’t know I had it at first and it was very frustrating.
I get 1fps, its a bit jerky. I suppose this it not the intention? (web start version)
Ubuntu 8.04, intel GMA950, java 1.6.0_06, intel code2duo T7200
Sorry about that - I really don’t know what causes it
Will attempt to run it on a similar configuration and see if I can figure out the problem.
It’s OpenGL, so integrated graphics isn’t optimal but it should work anyway…
Brilliant. Very smooth for me using Java 6 Update 7 :
Tested on Ubuntu 8.04.1 via JWS.
Intel GMA965 & Intel C2D T5250
Stayed around 60 fps and had a very low impact on the system.
Quite fun but quite difficult.
Great work
Written using lwjgl ?
Thanks
Yes - I used kevglass’s Slick library (for 2d game stuff), which uses lwjgl for OpenGL support.
thanks for sharing here
Hi!
It works fine here. I do not succeed in getting a good score. I will test once more at home because I have no sound here.
Very cool game, love it! You should make it into an applet and put it on some gaming sites, its unique and good.
For the desktop version, I suggest you add fullscreen support and vsync (because I can see the shearing or whatever its called during high motion).
