my personal favourite worstest game is … GTA: san andres!!!
it’s the worst game in the world… it’s graphics are the equivilent of a gameboy game, and it’s first person mode is soooo bad, there are no words to describe it!!

Wow, I’d have to say you’re in the very small minority on that one.
GTA: San Andreas is definitely not a graphical juggernaut, however, the appeal to the game really has nothing to do with graphics.
I personally look forward to playing it, right after I finish Project Gotham Racing 2, and Halo 2 - it’s right there on my list.
GTA: SA is not about the graphics - there are limits to what you can do with a 4 year old console!
But it doesn’t matter anyway - the game is not about graphics (which is more than fine!) - it’s about the gameplay and the environment which is top notch!

GTA:SA is definitely not the worst game ever. I wouldn’t say it’s the best GTA… but I’m only about 10 missions in so I reserve judgement.
As for graphics being gameboy equivalent, that’s a bit of a troll isn’t it?

I know why i wait an additional year to get GTA SA on the PC. The overall textures are much better and can i play custom music and customize the game like GTA VC.
But even for the old becoming PS2 the game still looks great.

To slightly tangent from talk of the PS2, it seems to me that by this point the guys writing for that platform are having to really push the envelope like people did in the old days trying to squeeze every pixel of performance out of their C64. Does that push programming skills forward more than the people working on open PC type platforms or does it just make for people really good at programming for a single chipset?
Some of the techniques are applicable to multiple platforms (LoD, world organisation, AI, etc.)
The most platform specific bit would be the rendering code - the bulk of which is Renderware (i.e. done by other people).
For a project like GTA, due to the scale it would probably push organisational skills due to the wealthof content more than programming skills. However, it is the third iteration so they have had lots of time to tweak & improve bits so it should be much better than the first (you can see for miles!).
The fonts are a bit sucky tho. Even on my 48" TV I find it hard to read the cash meter.

when I push right, the your character (you can’t even see him!) turns right 180 degrees!!
this is what can be expected from microsoft and xbox!!!
while i’m on this subject of the xbox, I may as well comment on it. it is just a try hardic version of a computer! it’s general graphics for all the games on the xbox are quite bad. It’s just a PlayStation 2 wanna be!

This demonic devil’s son, harry potter, is the worst game I’ve played (so is the movie, it’s just a lord of the Rings wanna be). Its computer animation is somewhat to be desired…and the graphics…well…I don’t want to mention those…
I would like to get the original book the author wrote and burn it in a furnace!!

I demoed the game for a few week… and it’s a pritty good game for a 2 month old baby!!!
the game physics are somewhat to be desired, and the graphics are just too bad for words…(I can’t even see the tyres… The cars must fly…) the music sounds like a baby composed it…(and is playing it)

If we wanted to read what you all thought about fire_ant’s tastes I’d have looked for a thread called “let’s bitch about fire_ant16”.
For the record, the worst game i’ve ever seen (look at me, i’m staying on topic!), is Doom3. Running around in dark coridors was new like over 10 years ago. Now its just flat out boring.
