The K700i - does not recognise .jad & .jar

Hi all,

Just bought the k700i -
am having terrible trouble running my j2me midlets on it.

for some reason as i click my web links (using gprs) to download the jad and jar files

i get the message :-

“this file is not supported by this phone” - “do you want to download anyway?”

If i download , these files are automatically put in the “OTHER” folder in FILE MANAGER

there is no install option or execute option -

I also have a P900 - this works like a dream - just download the jars and the installation option is presented automatically.

and the midlet runs without problem.

I have recompiled and repackaged the jars & jad for both phones individually

ANY IDEAS - please

Here’s somthing you can check. Web server mime types setup correctly.

.jad " text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor"
.jar “application/java-archive”

Other than that don’t know anything about the phone!
