the interest for arcade games is exploding

I just heard about the PSP and the Capcom games i think theyr making all the old classic games
available for PSP…that means the interest for games like those old arcades is coming for real.

Look here at “Extreme Ghouls 'N Ghost” for PSP http://media.psp.ign.com/media/769/769179/vids_1.html

capcom really know how to milk a franchise for all its worth. what i really want is a brand new street fighter game from them (street fighter 4?).

the new GAME ON! podcast (episode 2) talks about a rebirth in classic arcade games:

wow, that intro music on that podcast is insane

Yeah I loved the music Chris put in there

The music is 8-bit weapon. A very cool two-person group.

Btw I bought pne of the PSP “MIdway Arace treasures” UMDs.

Mixed reaxtions. Its all MAME ofcourse and the games look greta but it just isnt the same without arcade controls.

The Midway games are good but I agree, the controls are not the same  One cool feature, I believe that collection has it, is GAmeShare where wyou can download a game to your friend’s PSP and they can ply it until they shut it off. Also, it is not MAME. They actually had to rewrite emulators due to the amount of user cod in the MAME source. The problem is they can’t tell if someone submitted some component that has copywritten source code. So rather than face legal action they just rewrite the emulators they need.

I was in the arcade yesterday, and saw Tekken … 7

The last Tekken I played was 3 :S

I think they are also coming back. They are definiately coming back on the internet anyway. There are loads of them old classic games around now.

Quick! Let’s get Java on the PSP. :stuck_out_tongue:
I wonder if that could happen? ???

People only like arcade games on small systems because they are so convenient.

hmm… m3g on PSP is possible, future mobile phones wil have quite similiar specyfication like game handleds (for example latest sony ericsson phones - nvidia graphics , m3g, much memory), PSP has 32 mb which i enough for j2me and very strong processor. I think that only sony could do that jvm, but since it is not preinstalled on PSP, so it probably will not change becouse PSP is not a phone…
