The birth of JasminEmu

Hi, all.

I’d like to announce a birth of a new ZX Spectrum emulator, called JasminEmu. It makes use of JOGL for graphics and JOAL for audio. Development is still in very early stage, but I’d like to share the results of my work with you right now.

The project is open-source; partial sources are already available on Google Code. Complete sources are coming soon.

Click here and give it a try. Any feedback is welcome.

Cheers, and have fun.

Jasmin is a Java bytecode manipulation tool - you might want to make up another name

As conflicting with others is not my intention, I changed the name to JasminEmu.

Any tips on what keys to use? The arrow-keys didn’t have any effect in pyamarama (sp?) only M did anything…?

Try selecting ‘kempston joystick’ and use arrows and CTRL

Nice emu. I’d like a good C64 emu in Webstart… mmm Dropzone… mmm Minter games…

Cas

Hehe… Looks like you’re a prophet or something…

I’m preparing to add support for C16 (because I had it in my childhood), and possibly C64 as a side-effect. But you must be patient, since this machine is much more difficult to emulate.

Michal.
