pong

Slicks 'n Slides

I wasted many an hour, in my youth, playing that top-down car racing game with my brother. Best of all it was freeware.

SubSpace, definately

This one was really cool, i’ve played for hours on the web 8)

My favorite game would be Baldur’s Gate (the first one); but there are some others game that I love playing at (diablo 1, quake 3…).

Diablo is the worst game ever!!

don’t post it in the BEST GAME YOU"VE SEEN because it’s not

also, please provide a description of the game that you like.

anyone played FreeSpace??

it’s a future space game where you’re in space and blasting up other ships.

it has a good story line as well…

I don’t know if I’d call it the “best game ever”, but I think the game I’ve wasted the most time on (should I start another thread for that?) was Chip’s Challenge.

I’m still impressed by how ambitious and complete Half-Life was. Probably my “best game ever”.

The Secret of Monkey Island (first one) on the Amiga. Ahh those were the days.

Quake in deathmatch when I was at uni

at the moment Dawn Of War (warhammer 40k rts)

edit should have been 40k not 4k

When the labs were open, an SGI O2 made an excellent Quake box for me! ;D

Regrettably, being network-impaired in every house I resided in, proper deathmatch wasn’t possible when the labs were closed. I usually resorted to Quake, RPBots, the FragTown maps, and Winamp playing Wierd Al Yankovic Polka medleys at high volume. Seriously good fun!

Im gonna have to go with pong also, but here is pretty much all of the games u ppl mensioned with more.

refering idiot - wheen do we get some proper moderation going ?

If you dont want to hear other opinions dont ask for them. How old are you anyway?

And Diablo is one of my favorite games too. But for some weird reason the Eye of the Beholder(for amiga) series rank heigher.

I would agree that Diablo was a great game. Their item/trading system was genius and addicting.

My alltime favourite game is Operation Flashpoint:Cold War Crisis. I did my first ever scripting with this game, and this ignited my interest in learning other languages, and here i am.

My second favourite is The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind. I loved the freedom in that game and i loved being able to steal as much as you want, i nearly failed a year at school because of that game!

I’ve made a few missions in Operation Flashpoint, and if you have the game, here’s the link to the mission:

Its called Operation Knife Blade, and i have yet to finish the sequel, due to problems scripting an air evac.

Other games include the classics, Wolfenstein 3D, Doom 1 and 2.

Speed Freaks which is very addictive, on the PS1 and Syphon Filter 1,2,3 and The Omega Strain.

There my favourite games!

Well… I hope my opinion is going to pass your litmus test. The best game I’ve seen? Rez. The style and gameplay combination is incredible.

I like bacon, too. But I write proper English, and rarely spam message boards with inane drivel. So maybe that’s where the similarity ends.

HTH.

I can’t believe I’ve run across another person who’s played that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you mean THIS Chip’s Challenge? ;D

Many years ago I knew a guy with a Lynx, and played Chip’s Challenge on it. Nothing special, I thought - but I guess it’s one of those games that gets better with more experience.

At the time I was very happy with my GameBoy, playing a marvellous game called FaceBall 2000. It was a bit like Wolfenstein, but really slow, with only one weapon, no ammo, no textures, basic sounds, geometric enemies etc. But you could carry it around with you, and you could plug GameBoys together and play four-player deathmatch, which was really good fun.

Never completed that game. It was just too damn hard…
