I can’t really decide if I’m going to scale and translate that Y-axis in place so it behaves like AWT/Swing.
What are you people doing? Just getting used to the Y axis pointing up?
Yep, becomes natural after a very short while.

I’m using satanic ortho (y down).
Many years ago, I started with y up, then I had to switch to y down and now I dont really feel like switching again.
I’m using Y-down, because when drawing GUIs, it’s easier to map in my head (as other projects involve lots of Swing coding)
