Texture mapping

Hi All,

Can anybody give me a short paragraph on how the texture mapping in Xithd works - I don’t mean code examples - I mean the theory/mathematics behind it.

is the texture read into a buffer first?

if so - how is the buffered texture formatted to fit the polygon - what is the theory behind the calculations etc.

OpenGL does the actual mapping of the 2D texure to the 3D polygon in Xith3D. Get your hands on a good OpenGL book or try searching for the info.

Xith3d has a texture coordinate generation feature, but I gather this is not what you are asking about.
