Stickvania

Doesn’t work on my Linux based netbook. The exception is a bit strange:

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /tmp/meatfighter.com/stickvania/natives/liblwjgl.so: Can't load IA 32-bit .so on a IA 32-bit platform

very nicely done, found the game to be enjoyable to play and a nice homage to the original.

First boss bird/bat boss is a bitch though (read as too hard)

always found it odd in castlevania games that hearts don’t actually give you any health.

+1 point if the game installs and uninstalls correctly
-1 point if the game doesn’t crash ever (not a crash but had input trouble when returning from fullscreen)
+1 point if the game is slickly presented
+1 point if the game has “good” graphics that suit the game
+1 point if the game has “good” sound that suit the game
+1 point if the game’s overall style is “good”
-1 point if the game is original or brings a great new original twist
+1 point if your judge enjoyed playing the game
-1 point if the game is complete enough that doesn’t feel anything is missing (could do with some balancing IMO, going up/down stair is a bit odd as you can’t jump)
+1 point if you don’t whine and you demand nothing of the mods (simply saying “can you rate my game please” is fine)

7/10

FEATURED.

p.s. Your original post should be updated to include a description and maybe a screenshot or two of the game.

Very cool! I liked it a lot. One problem: I closed the window and the music is still playing.

SWEEEET! Very cool.

Amazing! That is one cool game, very addictive!

I’ll investigate this. I recall reading something on the Slick forums that said you had to handle shutting down the sound system on application exit.

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Function is not supported
	at org.lwjgl.BufferChecks.checkFunctionAddress(BufferChecks.java:64)
	at org.lwjgl.opengl.GL11.glMatrixMode(GL11.java:1961)

please update to the latest build of LWJGL

I think I did. I’ll double check this.

sorry i meant latest stable build LWJGL 2.3: https://www.newdawnsoftware.com/hudson/view/LWJGL/job/LWJGL/ , LWJGL 2.2.2 has become obsolete already

congrats you made it onto the indiegames site http://www.indiegames.com/blog/2010/03/browser_game_pick_stickvania_m.html
