Why would he need to ask about Java if he already knows it well? 
Yes, plus any Java questions I have I ask here.
Objective-C and the iPhone also have docs that are pretty hard to search through, whereas the Java docs are great. Many of my questions relate to whether I can do something or not.

Yup. ;D I don’t know what I was doing wrong but I just couldn’t get it to work quite right. I ended up with something that is acceptable, but not perfect. Oh well.

Ha ha, that’s great. Good stuff. I wish they hadn’t closed that discussion. It’s weird, I’ve asked some good not directly programming related questions (but programmer related), and yet this one went on for a looooong time. I don’t see why you can’t ask any question related to programming.
I know RAM is cheap, but 256 is a waste of electricity. 255 is a greener number. Somewhere a blade of grass has just withered and died.
