sphere called earth

hallo developers !

i wrote a java-webstart app, in german called “erde 0.2”
the program also understands (school)english.

this program is written again lwjgl-0.7:
http://object4you.com/erde02/erde02.jnlp
http://www.object4you.de/openSource/java-openGL/lwjgl/earth/index.html

an older programm called “erde.01”
this program is written again suns java3d.

http://www.object4you.de/openSource/java-openGL/java3D/index.html
http://object4you.com/vrsurf/vrsurf.jnlp

'will say, developing under lwjgl was the right decision !
sorry about all the german stuff,
but “erde 0.2” ->earth 0.2 is a runnig in german/english.
source (mostly english) also available.

thank you for comments,
greetZ2all and wish you best code !,

olaf

I get the GUI to select resolution fullscreen etc. I press start, a window pops up and immediately closes along with the GUI.

Win 2K, JDK 1.4.2

uuh - i’m earth 0.21 is hard under developing.
i forgot to catch an graphics-card-ini exception.

question about lwjgl handling:
is it possible for a java application to jump out of the code
without any warning ?
i’ve heard something about from the german-java news group.
‘tester’ uses an older matrox graphics car und said,
that he have no problems with native open gl programs.

2Mojomonkey :
please try once more.
if situation is not better,
write something about your configauration please.

i think tha lwjgl is a great idea, but a young implementation !

wich you coderZ fine code,
olaf
