Space Tripper on TV!

This probably won’t mean much to alot of you but in the UK we have a relatively new TV show on prime time called “Gamezville”, a show dedicated to gaming and it actually turns out not to be that bad.

They normally only cover top brand games, however they’ve just show the indie masterpiece Space Tripper. The game is pushed out by Pom Pom (I know Cas knows who they are) who are remarkably reminicent of own Puppy Games! Whats more they said it was fantastic.

Simple games rock. Retro games are back!

Given 8/10

Can we expect to see Alien Flux or Super Elvis sent over to them any time soon?

Kev

I tried accosting them at ECTS last year in their booth but they were busy interviewing nerds for the telly :frowning:

Cas

Cas - print some t-shirts with Super-Elvis on, and we can besiege them en masse this year ;D. IIRC you, me, Kev, and several others from JGO are going, no?

I’m there. Just waiting to find out what happens with my arm, might not have anything to pass out :frowning:

Kev

When’s ECTS again?

Yery nice. You lucky Brits with this show!
Spacetripper I found to be the coolest shoot-em up since Braybrook’s masterpiece Uridium.

PS: A pity Andrew Braybrook left the video games segment when the PC killed our beloved Amigas, STs, Acorns, etc. Anybody knows what he’s doing today? (Wouldn’t he love to create Java games?

Works in an insurance company. He’s a great guy, I once wrote to him when I was a wee bairn asking how to do raster interrupts on the C64 and I got a beautifully handwritten 4 page answer back from him.

Very nice to hear.
So he’s not only a genius but a kind man, too.

Oldies but goldies for ever!

PS: I still play Paradroid (90) and other British oldies but goldies regularly on some emulators.

I recently discovered Freedroid on Sourceforge. Happy memories of one of the best C64 games
