Hi,

How goes the change of roles to CaptainJester??
The new site??
Rafael.-
December 1st, as the past 2 years
He’ll be editing the rules and assigning/managing the judging panel. I’ll be staying behind the scenes this year
planned for launch, likely to fall back on current java unlimited version in a worst-case scenario
Good, Captain will do a good job.
For how long will it goes? I planned to participate, but I’m in the middle of the process of relocating from Brazil to Canada. It takes all my breath and spare time away. If it goes for a long time (more than one month), maybe I’ll be able to add a small game to the pool.
Rodrigo
I think it is 3 months. Feb 28 is the final day for entries.
that’s up to this year’s manager, CaptainJester
but in the past years it has run 3 months, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t this year
Then it’s official. The contest will start on Dec 1st and run until Feb 28th 2007.
Will the new rules appear tomorrow?
And a website?
Kev
captainjester? rules please? judges? etc?
anyway, site is a given. one click of a button and J4K 2007 appears on the Java Unlimited site.
old Java Unlimited site is going to be used until I deploy the new one with the recently added “news” section (see the thread over in General Discussions)
Since it is already Dec 1st somewhere in the world, the 2007 Java 4K competition begins now.
Will post a complete set of rules in the next couple of days.
I will find between 3 and 5 judges over the course of the competition.
Woogley, go ahead and flip the switch on Java unlimited and let the games roll in.
By the way, I guess we will use timezone for the JGO servers for the official deadline. They are in California, right?
Good luck and good coding.
